Price per milligram: $4.55 to $10.50
The fair way to compare vials is the price per milligram: the vial price divided by the 10 mg on the label. On 21 Sep 2026 that ran from $4.55 at Amino Club to $10.50 at American Peptides, with OXpeptides at $9.90.
All four also list larger vials, and several advertise bulk or first-order discounts. We compare the 10 mg size only, because every priced vendor showed it, and a discount you have to unlock is not the price on the page.
A price per milligram also assumes the vial holds what the label says. That is the weak point, and it is the next section. It also matters beyond the price: a vial at half its label throws off every calculation made from it, including the arithmetic of the retatrutide reconstitution calculator.
Why retatrutide prices vary: the lot, the lab, the paperwork
Two vials at the same price per labelled milligram can be very different products. In 2026, Australian researchers had three products sold as retatrutide analysed; all were labelled 10 mg. They held 5.13 mg, 16.5 mg and 19.0 mg, from 51 to 190 % of the label, and nobody had tested them for sterility or endotoxins[1].
The same pattern shows up with other peptides. In test purchases of semaglutide from online sellers without a prescription, half the orders never arrived, and the vials that did showed 7.7 to 14.4 % purity instead of the 99 % claimed[2].
So the price pays for checks you can verify before paying, or it does not:
- A certificate per lot that gives the measured content in mg, not only a purity percentage.
- A named laboratory whose report you can look up.
- The lot number printed on the vial, matching the certificate.
- A registered company and tracked shipping.
That is why the cheapest vial is not the best price per milligram you can trust. For reference, the Janoshik report for the OXpeptides 10 mg lot measured 10.59 mg at 99.316 % purity (task 217194, analysed 15 Sep 2026). Why there is no pharmacy or insurance price
A pharmacy price exists only for an approved medicine. Retatrutide has no approval from the FDA or the EMA. Eli Lilly, which develops it as LY3437943, plans to file with the FDA in the first quarter of 2027[5]. Until a drug is approved there is no list price, no insurance coverage and no prescription a pharmacy can fill.
Compounding is not a way around it either: section 503A of the FD&C Act limits compounding to approved drugs and to bulk substances on FDA lists, and retatrutide is neither[3].
The only medical route is Lilly's expanded access program, NCT07629401, requested by a physician for adults with a BMI of 35 or more and two serious obesity-related complications[4]. The drug is supplied by Lilly there, not bought.
